Communication vs. Communication

What is communication sector today? Not only TV and radio anymore and it is not limited by the media per se, it has become the lifestyle it encompasses each individual and society as a whole, separate companies and business communities. Nowadays, no one can become the leader, launch PR, do real market research without having blog, without creating communities or using other communication technologies in real and virtual life. Let’s take success story of Barack Obama, new President of USA, who’s blog was and is one of the most popular in the world.

Media is universal in our reality. Being a democratic tool it is providing a platform for debate across a diverse range of views.

It is about 10 years I am using different Communication Tools, Instant Messengers (e.g. Skype, MSN, GTalk, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, etc.) Internet Groups (e.g. Yahoo or Google) other Communities like Internet Forums (e.g. Sun), Blogs (e.g. CacasusNow, LiveJournal, WordPress, Blogger), or Internet Communities (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook,Twitter, etc.), mailing lists or other different ways to promote, discuss, share ideas, exertions, ask questions or do market research.

Every Armenian ordinary daily printing publication has 2000 – 6000 readers per day in Armenia. With communication tools marked before, now I can reach more than 10000 – 15000 pro-active, intellectual, mostly Armenian readers included Armenian Diaspora. One can add zeros to this numbers, easily.

Internet Communication more precise; it is easy to calculate and measure any type of targeting, get different exact statistics from international, local softwares powered by well known companies (e.g. Webalizer, Awstats, Google Analytics, Woopra, etc.) on a yearly, daily or hourly basis.

Armenia is doing its first steps in applying Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Hi-Tech in daily life and it is normal that our country faces same problems as most developing countries. Through ICT and High Tech reality has become more transparent and democratic. ICT and Hi-Tech has brought big change in the field of Communication and in Media in the world and it is bringing to Armenia too.

Computers and their different applications in Astronomy

It is common knowledge that the advent of computers has played a major role in different scientific discoveries, particularly in Astronomy. Computers give not only power to astronomy, but also, significantly, make all intricate and complicated calculations feasible. It is true that there are many other discoveries which improve and influence the evolution of astronomy, such as, for example, geometry or the telescope; nevertheless for solving astronomical problems the biggest role is attributed to computers. Since computers with their metamorphoses - minicomputers, network and supercomputers - help astronomy move forward Continue Reading »
